We are often asked what got us started in making goat milk lotion and soap products, and the answer is simple… Family.

Family, in particular my grandbabies. They started us down this crazy path that we have fallen in love with.

It started out as our daughter was unable to breastfeed due to medical complications following the premature birth of her daughter Colette. Colette had a hard time digesting formula, so like any good Papa, my husband got her a goat for milk.

Then our second grandchild, also premature, was born. Rook had terrible skin issues and after many months back and forth to Primary Children’s, it was discovered he was missing a filter in his lungs. So all the dirty air and toxins his little body breathed in had to come out somewhere, and it came out his largest organ, his skin.

We were desperate to help our little Rook. My daughter researched alternative solutions and found that goat milk contains vitamins A,C, E, B1,B6 and B12. Goat Milk also contains large amounts of lactic acid which is amazing at alleviating dry, itchy, irritated skin.

I then began the long journey of research and trial and error to make the best, soothing lotion possible.

There were a lot of tears and believe me when I say I wanted to give up more than once! But eventually, I succeeded, and developed a goat milk lotion that started helping Rook’s sores after just the first use! Through continued use of the goat milk lotion, we were able to stop all medications for his skin. It was truly a blessing for our family.
